Compare the whole recurring cost
Plan A may advertise a lower price per kWh while charging a higher monthly fee. This tool applies the same entered usage to each plan, adds its fixed charge, and shows the difference.
An example where the lower rate loses
At 500 kWh, Plan A at 14¢ with a $25 fixed charge costs $95. Plan B at 16¢ with a $5 fixed charge costs $85. Although its energy rate is higher, Plan B is $10 cheaper in this example.
Read the terms before comparing offers
Check minimum-use fees, credits that apply only at certain usage, early termination charges, variable pricing, and the contract period. Flat-rate arithmetic alone cannot evaluate those conditions.
Can I switch electricity providers?
Availability depends on your location and utility arrangements. This site does not check eligibility, list live offers, or imply that competing providers are available at your address. You can also use the tool to understand a proposed rate change.
